Penfolds Grange - 2001, 2002 and 2003 vintages available

Opus One
A moderately deep garnet, the 2003 Opus One offers aromas of blackberry, plum, hazelnut, graphite, olive oil, cocoa and dried cherries. The wine presents a soft rich entry; nuances of dark chocolate, black licorice.

Penfolds RWT Barossa Valley Shiraz
Shiraz has been widely hailed as an imprssive extension of the Penfolds "House Style" - a wine with indelible Penfolds stamp, offering a contemporary of the finest elements of Barossa Valley shiraz. For optimum enjoyment, this wine should be carefully decanted prior to being served.

Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon
Saturated with luscious flavours of dark berries, plums and cassis, this super (but not over) ripe cabernet is handsomely oaked and impressively supported by firm, almost raw-edged and chalky tannin. A violet-like perfume lifts its aroma, while its spectrum of fruit encompasses nuances of prunes, currants and dark olives as well as undertones of dried herbs.

Torres Reserva Real
Deep mahogany red colour, with brown tinges in keeping with a properly aged wine. On the nose the wine is intense, complex and very fruity (blackberry and raspberry jams). On the palate it is powerful and quick to emerge, with body and huge concentration enhanced by its sweet but well structured tannins.

Luce
Luce 2001 - has an intense and vibrant purple color. The bouquet is distinguished by its elegance and refinement. Fragrances of ripe fruit, cherries, and forest berries mingle with notes of chocolate, leading into a finish of fresh aromas. The entry on the palate is delightfully lavish with well integrated tannins that perfectly balance the alcohol. The flavor is persistent, offering a crescendo finish with a hint of minerals. Luce 2000 - ruby red in color, has an extremely intense bouquet offering an array of fruit fragrances. Currants and wild strawberries weave into spicier aromas of liquorice and cloves enhanced by notes of tobacco. On the palate, the entry is soft and enticing, with an acidity that blends into the wine's great structure and tannins. The finish is complex and persistent.

Robert Mondavi Napa Range Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Deep and dense with perfumed aromas and delicious flavors of blackberry, cassis, black olive and dark chocolate. Smooth and supple, with fine-grained tannins, good acid and a lengthy finish.

Santa Rita Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon
Made from a single Maipo Valley vineyard planted in the 1950's, the nose is a commanding blend of ripe fruit, sweet plums and blackcurrants mingled with leather, tobacco, vanilla, menthol and cloves. The highly concentrated palate is intensely ripe, with a full, rich body and a remarkable, sleek finish.

Essence de Dourthe
A fabulously intense wine, filled with aromas of earth, truffles, black cherries and cassis. The palate abounds with ripe fruits, especially black cherries, along with cocoa, leather and juniper. A full bodied wine with a well-rounded finish.

Penfolds St Henri Shiraz
The deep ruby St. Henri is nearly opaque. Leather and smoky Asian spice fill the nose, with blackberry jam, blackcurrant jam, black pepper, a floral element, and some alcoholic heat (the big wine is an unsurprising 14.5% abv). The palate adds a bacon meatiness, stewed fruit, raspberry, pomegranate, and chocolate, with touches of dried herb.

Rosemount Estate Balmoral Syrah, Mclaren Vale
This wine is the produce of 50-100 year old McLaren Vale vines. On the nose, behind plum fruit, notes of spice and pepper are followed by cassis and licorice. The palate is rich with plum, cassis and spice. The divine fruit is balanced by natural acidity in this well-rounded wine.

Rosemount Estate Mountain Blue Shiraz Cabernet, Mudgee
An 85% Shiraz, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Mudgee in New South Wales. On the nose, cassis and soft black fruits blend with plum and ginger spice. The palate displays intense fruit and a firm tannin backbone, with blackberry and spicy plum dominating.

Torres Mas La Planas - Cabernet Sauvignon
Intense aroma showing all the classic characteristics of the native land of Mas La Plana, together with notes of truffle, toast and wild red berry conserve. Great body and breadth on the palate, with juicy tannins that become balanced and elegant.
