Robert Mondavi Napa Range Moscato D Oro
Agreat dessert wine made of 100% Muscat Canelli grapes, mainly grown in the Stag’s Leap district. On the nose, peaches, honeysuckle, dates and papaya mingle with each other and with hints of citrus fruits. The palate is gloriously rich, but with outstanding delicacy and finesse.
Variety: Muscat
Vintage: 2004 - 2005
Cesari Mara, Vino di Ripasso, Valpolicella Superiore DOC
On the nose, figs, dates and cassis are to the fore, with honey and smoke from barrel aging. The palate is full-bodied, but not overpowering. Plums and cherries give way to raisins and a satisfyingly long finish.
Vintage: 2006
Dourthe Diane de Belgrave
The 2nd wine of Chateau Belgrave that was classified Grand Cru in 1855 for the exceptional qualities.
Vintage: 2005
Dourthe Grands Terroirs Sauternes
Made with 3 grape varieties - Semillon (70%), Sauvignon Blanc (25%) and Muscadelle (5%) - this Sauternes is a lovely, rich gold colour. The initial flavours include dried apricot, dates and figs, with a counterpoint of citrus fruit and lemon marmalade in the finish.
Vintage: 2005
Penfolds Bin 2 Shiraz
A blend combining fruit from Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek. An easy drinking wine, not overtly concentrated, but with plenty of fruit, texture and flavour length. Cranberry and blackcurrant on the nose, with overlays of chocolate, oak and vanilla at the finish.
Variety: Shiraz
Vintage: 2007
Penfolds Thomas Hyland Cabernet Sauvignon
30% Langhorne Creek, 29% McLaren Vale. The rest of the fruit is chosen from across South Australia. Dark fruit and cassis notes are lifted on the nose by raspberry and licorice. Like all Penfolds wines, a tightly structured wine, but with a chocolate richness that makes it very approachable.
Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon
Vintage: 2004
Penfolds Thomas Hyland Shiraz
32% Barossa Valley, 29% McLaren Vale with proportions from Upper Adelaide and the Adelaide Plains. The customary Shiraz plum, blackberry and pepper on the nose are joined by notes of chocolate, spice and vanilla. The palate has fabulously rich black fruit with warm pepper and spice.
Variety: Shiraz
Vintage: 2006
